Ha, you just couldn't resist posting before November. Believe me, I understand. I'm glad you're back.

ARRRghhh!

Hi, Wes! Good to see you around.
Actually, I didn't meant to post that troll. I was trying to paste him into a troll story I'm working on posting for Halloween. I tried for over an hour last night and couldn't get it right. And just look where that tricksy troll ends up. Coincidenc? Me thinks not.

By the way. Thanks for reading Rainmaker and for your really kind coments. Please, don't ever feel guilty about not reading any of my super long posts, though. I'm not really posting blog material - and that's okay. It's what's working for me right now. But, I can totally understand people not wanting to slog through it. It's not exactly opinion/comment material.

Well, he is a very interesting troll and it was nice to get greeted with something new. After all, I still come by here pretty regularly to see if you have broken your self-appointed fast. ;) I'm glad you have been showing your face in our little corner of blogworld again.
Love and shalom,

Serena,

Thanks for stopping by. It's always a blessing to have you around.

Tell, me. How do you manage to keep homeschooling year after year?

I'm mostly hating it this year -and I'm finding my resolve fading quickly? Any advice?

Flicka,
I can really recommend Beyond Survival by Diana Waring as something to read to give you a recharge. Also, if you read The Underground History of American Education by John Taylor Gatto, that would also help recharge you. How old are your children? If you are approaching educating your children at home like a school, then you are going to burn out. It might be time to switch how you are approaching home education and what you are doing. I would spend some time praying and finding out what Father wants for your family. It doesn't hurt to take a break, either, to spend some time to get recharged and just to enjoy each other. There are also curriculums such as the Robinson Curriculum that make it easier on mom. If you persevere, you will find that it is worth it. That might be the lesson for the year when it comes down to it. After all, our Father is educating us, too.

Serena

Cute troll, Flicka. =) Much cuter than the ones we normally "see" floating around the internet!

Thanks for stopping by Arielle. By the way, how's that novel going? I'd love to read the first chapter some day.

Serena,

Thank you so much fo the resources. It's funny you mention Diana Warring because I'm using her History Alive this year - ancient civilizations to Christ. I do love her approach.

I've also bookmarked the Robinson Curriculum. I am really going to reseaarc it for next year. I want some of my time freed up.

Also, I'm going to spend some time going to parks and playing out doors this week, before it gets too bitterly cold.

Thanks so much for responding. I'm taking your advice to heart.
